THE END OF AN ERA

July marked the end of an era with both Brian and Andrew Thibaud leaving HPA

A copy of the email that Gareth sent out to staff, which outlines some of Brian and Andrews key achievements over the years, can be found below.

Good afternoon all,

I’m writing to inform you of two significant leadership changes within our organization.

Firstly, Andrew Thibaud has made the decision to resign from his role as Group Financial Manager, effective 30 July 2025. Andrew has taken up a wonderful opportunity with an extended family member, which is a change in his career. First however he will be heading away on a long overdue two week break overseas!

We thank him for his dedication, leadership, and the many contributions made during his time with us. Andrew has played a key role in development of the Finance and Admin team spearheading a large amount of complex systems changes over the years, and growing the team almost from scratch. We wish him all the very best in his future endeavours, although we have heard that there is a guy that looks just like him starting in an office at the rear of 46 Gavin Street sometime in August. 🙂

Secondly, Brian Thibaud will be retiring from his position as CFO after 20 or so years of outstanding service at HPA. His retirement was brought forward about a year with Andrew leaving and will take effect on 1 August 2025, although Brian will still be around for a few weeks during the transition, and into the future as no doubt his expertise will be needed!

Brian has been a cornerstone of our leadership team, and his commitment, wisdom, and guidance has left a lasting legacy on HPA as well as on a personal level. (The chats over morning coffee will be sorely missed.)

As the last of the Founding Three Owners of HPA to retire, this marks a huge milestone in HPA’s story as it is now firmly into its second generation of business owners. This is a remarkable feat in itself, and achieved in no small part thanks to Brian’s efforts over the years.

Please join me and our Directors, Simon, Lee, Hamish and Regan, in expressing our gratitude to both Brian and Andrew for their service and in wishing them success and happiness in their next chapters.

Kind Regards,

Gareth Newton
